Tea Shops

My wife and I love to travel. I have always loved to go into shops of the town we are visiting and explore the small businesses that are vital to that town or region.

So, I am starting a series where I will be posting my favorite independent tea shops that I come across. It is loosely a review only because I don’t expect to have readers in all the places I might be traveling to. But! If you happen to be there or know someone going there, send them to these shops!

Things I like to look for in these shops:

  • Engaging employees / owners
  • Thoughtful selection of loose leaf tea and herbal tisanes
  • Distinctive teaware
  • If they offer tea tastings or tea ceremony classes

You can bet that if I have posted about a particular tea shop, that it has left an impression on me. I hope this series brings some good to these shops or informs my readers what a good tea shop should function like.
